New Division of SPA which assists the Government in developing leading edge technologies to enhance deterrence and counter WMD in support of CCMDs and transition technologies and capabilities to services and SOCOM. SPA provides expertise across the full range of nuclear deterrence, chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) WMD, Counterforce, and Countering Threat Network technologies to support understanding, detection, identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling, defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and civilian operations.

 

SPA has a near term need for a Sr. Nuclear Weapons Security Analyst. 

Responsibilities

Senior Nuclear Weapons Security Analyst requires extensive nuclear weapons physical security experience leading a large Air Force or Navy security unit who provided security at a nuclear weapons site. They will provide analytical support to nuclear weapon recapture and recovery programs, and development of recapture and recovery doctrine. They will provide interface and congruity between Presidential Directives related to recapture and recovery, incident response, nuclear weapons physical security, and deterrence. They will advise on adherence to DoD Nuclear Weapons System Surety Standards and participate in Security-related meetings, groups, committees, etc., and provide administrative, support to the overall nuclear weapons security program.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years experience and a MA/MS degree
  • Ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical programs
  • Experience leading a large nuclear weapons physical security unit at a nuclear weapons site
  • Experience with development of doctrine processes and procedures
  • Experience working with interagency departments

Desired Qualifications:

  • 15 years experience and a BA/BS
  • Experience preparing briefing and other meeting materials
  • Experience overseeing recapture and recovery training programs
