The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

 

SPA has an immediate need for a seasoned Capture Manager who wants to be part of SPA's fastest growing Division! This role is onsite in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

As Senior Capture Manager, the successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer and the Division Director to lead Federal growth activities for assigned markets, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, business development, solutioning, capture management, and proposal development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in DoD components including OSD, OUSD (R&E), OUSD (A&S), DARPA, Combat Support Agencies, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff.
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Experience in program execution either on technical staff or as a program/project or line manager
  • Demonstrated experience of successful capture and winning Federal opportunities with a value exceeding $50M for single-award contracts and exceeding $100M for multiple award IDIQ contracts
  • Experience managing and using the Shipley BD process

Desired: 

  • Proven ability to operate independently with limited supervision and feedback
  • Proven ability to develop creative and/or differentiated professional services solutions for Federal clients
  • Ability to use automated tools such as MS Office to present ideas, information, and reports
