SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Air Force, Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defence Force.  Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients’ challenges.

 

Within the SLA Division, Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 80 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, logistics, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 40 programs and projects in the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division’s Integrated Combat System department, Office of Naval Research, and the Navy’s Team SUBS office.

Responsibilities

You will serve as an adviser providing direct support to the Spectrum Program Manager within the Naval Systems Engineering & Logistics Directorate's (SEA 05) Integrated Warfare Systems Engineering (SEA 05H) office. SEA 05 is responsible for providing the engineering and scientific expertise, knowledge, and technical authority necessary to design, build, maintain, repair, modernize, certify, and dispose of the Navy's ships, submarines, and associated warfare systems.

 

You will be empowered to lead and act on behalf of the Program Manager ensuring the appropriate Spectrum and Systems Engineering processes and discipline is applied across multiple stakeholders. You will manage development of current and future feasibility studies for sharing federal spectrum, current and future spectrum pipeline plans, development and execution of current and future transition plans, supporting the Spectrum Efficient National Surveillance Radar (SENSR), and Non-SENSR efforts, and any current and future spectrum relocation efforts supports any and all Federal Agencies. You will join a high performing Government and contractor team regularly working with stakeholders from industry, the PEO, Warfare Centers, Navy Labs and University Affiliated Research Centers on complex issues facing the Spectrum Relocation Fund (SRF).

 

You may be expected to work on other radar development and integration tasks, such as providing support to the Navy's Future X-Band Radar program. 

 

Remote work is allowed in this position, however you must have the ability to occasionally travel to Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, including familiarity with electromagentic spectrum usage
  • The ability to attain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
