SPA has an immediate or near term need for a MBSE Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of MBSE SySML certifications and experience with architecture development, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, and verification and test.

Responsibilities

As a MBSE systems engineer, job duties require the candidate to be capable of applying principles, theories and concepts related to the digital modeling of systems. Responsibilities include using MBSE tools to model and capture (in DoDAF compliant viewsets) program requirements, track performance metrics, and manage the systems engineering process. Other duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using a MBSE tool suite that includes Cameo and other COTS tools. 
  • Apply systems engineering modeling methodologies to develop mission models. 
  • Integrate enterprise tools and develop MBSE-based processes to support requirements engineering, the customer's ERB process, CONOPS and architecture development, digital mission, and integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities.
    Facilitate collaborative meetings between the MBSE modelers and stakeholders to deliver mission needs and help innovate potential solutions.
    Provides technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's  degree in a STEM field with 5-8 years’ experience
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph at time of application
  • Demonstrated experience building system models in Cameo and/or other UML/SysML based tool suites
  • Demonstrated experience performing lifecycle systems engineering for space-based mission systems

Desired Qualifications: 

  • OMG OCSMP MBSE/SysML certification
