The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SSAG is hiring for a Senior Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities

Support Navy SSP in planning, coordination, and execution of systems engineering activities leading to Systems Engineering technical reviews, specifically supporting the Systems Engineering team to develop complex System and Subsystem Requirement Specifications for a new Nuclear Cruise Missile Program.  Lead project teams from across other Government and Contractor organizations contributing to the Systems Engineering processes, design, and analysis activities for the system.  Provide executive support for the requirements analysis working group responsible for the development and traceability of requirements across seven subsystems and support the  analysis required to develop allocated system requirements.  Support the development of the requirements, verification traceability matrix (RVTM) for the system.  Support system of systems integration activities to enable the execution of a coherent and successful missile system design effort.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or other STEM field.
  • Active SECRET or higher DoD security clearance.
  • 5+ Years of experience with DoD weapon system acquisition programs.  
  • 5+ Years of experience supporting either requirements development and management activities.
  • Experience in supporting multi-discipline working groups to support Systems Engineering activities.
  • Strong Communication skills with experience briefing senior/executive leadership on projects, system concepts, or design decisions.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute workload to meet requirements and deadlines and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment conducting analysis with uncertainties or incomplete data.
  • Must be capable of breaking down complex issues into simplified problem statements and laying out objective approaches to identify and compare the merits of competing solutions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with NAVAIR or Navy SSP Systems Engineering processes.
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.  
  • Master’s Degree in a related field.   
  • Preference for experience working with PyCharm, git, BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience implementing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for system designs.
