SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, OSD, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force.  Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients’ challenges.

 

Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients’ success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.

 

The Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) focus is to provide engineering, technical and programmatic support to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors (PEO IWS 2.0) Directorate. Efforts include overarching program management, test and evaluation, systems engineering, operations analysis, systems integration, international, cyber security, IT network and programmatic support for over 25 PEO IWS 2.0 advanced radar, phased array radar, electronic warfare, electro-optic, advanced off-board electronic warfare/decoy and directed energy programs.

 

SPA is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Analyst for immediate employment in our downtown Washington, D.C. office that is located at 20 M Street, SE. Hybrid work environment is expected with at least 2-3 days in the office to support classified tasking. 

Responsibilities

You will serve as one of the lead RMF package analysts who ensures that the highest quality products and services are delivered to the Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors and Lasers Directorate's (PEO IWS 2.0) Information Systems Security Manager. You will be responsible for the Authorization and Assessment (A&A) review process for over 25 new and existing above water sensor and laser systems ensuring that RMF cybersecurity requirements are satisfied in accordance with applicable DOD, NIST, Department of the Navy (DON), and NAVSEA series instructions. You will be expected to perform RMF package assessments using the DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) files. You will have the opportunity to learn various components of System Security Engineering, including in-depth aspects of acquisitions and program protection. You will also advise the ISSM and other program stakeholders regarding A&A cybersecurity matters to include change control, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), EXORD’s, FRAGO’s, DoD and DoN policies.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range:  $130,000 – $160,000.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of Navy experience providing information assurance, engineering, or operational support, including supporting information operations, cyber operations, system administration, and systems security
  • 1+ year of experience evaluating the cyber compliance of a system against current Risk Managed Framework (RMF) and DoD Cybersecurity policies
  • Active DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to maintain one

Desired

  • Experience working in an acquisition program office environment, with documentation, protocols, formats, and deadlines
  • Systems engineering background and experience with hardware/software integration
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) III or IAT III Certification
  • Fully Qualified Navy Validator (FQNV)
