SPA has an immediate need for a Platform Solutions Architect.
About the Position
As a Platform Solutions Architect at SPA, you will be assigned to support the US Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC), Operational Command and Control Acquisition Delta, known as Kobayashi Maru. Kobayashi Maru is responsible for continuously delivering impactful software for space operations. The program office’s mission includes the development and deployment of software for space defense, space domain awareness, and enabling data services.
This role combines the strategic vision of a solutions architect with the technical depth of cloud/hybrid cloud platform engineering. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a modern, integrated cloud/hybrid cloud platform that is both future-proof and aligned with current performance/mission objectives. In this position, you will be expected to understand each component and document the complete architecture of the current cloud/hybrid cloud platform implementation. You will manage the entire technical baseline, including the environment(s) and apps. You will provide comprehensive recommendations for improving and optimizing the existing solution. You will be responsible for enabling successful accomplishment of performance objectives for scalability, reliability, security, resiliency, efficiency, and observability. You will document architectures, dependencies, interfaces, workflows, and processes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will collaborate with multiple teams responsible for implementing each component of the cloud/hybrid cloud platform and infrastructure to ensure their alignment with enterprise level objectives and roadmaps, to understand blockers, report status, and collect metrics.

This is a hybrid position. You will be expected to work on-site with the Government customer at an off-Base location in El Segundo, CA at least 3 days per week due to the fast pace, quick-turn nature of the job and the persistent need to access secure networks. Thus, residing within comfortable driving distance of El Segundo, CA should be considered.
