The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

The Surety Programs Group (SPG) supports government and private sector management of complex safety, security, and reliability programs for high consequence operations.  SPG delivers industry-leading, innovative, and value-added services such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention to help our clients understand and mitigate mission risks spanning physical, cyber, and human domains.

 

SPG has an immediate need for a Military Operations Analyst. 

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be able to manage several lines of effort in a fast-paced environment while facing multiple deadlines and competing resources. Candidates must also be able to understand and meet current customer needs/constraints while anticipating the direction of future analytical support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Interpreting, developing, and implementing security and safety policy.
  • Understanding threat capabilities and analyzing mission impact.
  • Supporting assessment of system effectiveness and development of future capabilities.
  • Facilitating the vulnerability assessment process and leading in operational planning.
  • Preparing briefings and reports for senior leadership engagement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, or Engineering.
  • U.S. Citizen with DoD Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance.
  • Military experience; particularly Marine Corps Security Forces, Navy Surface Warfare/Expeditionary Warfare, Army Special Operations or Intelligence.
  • Experience leading projects having to do with defense, security, or operational effectiveness.
  • Ability to interpret, draft, and implement DoD and service level policy and lead operational planning and effectiveness assessments.
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and meeting facilitation abilities and self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills.

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in Social Sciences, Operations Research, Natural Sciences, or other discipline.
  • Understanding of asymmetric threats and risk assessment methodologies encompassing cyber, human, and physical elements.
  • Experience conducting operational assessments using live, virtual (e.g., table top exercises), or constructive (e.g., modeling and simulation) methods.
  • Familiarity with Service/Joint Operational Mission Planning Process.
