The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer to support the onsite SPA team at Hill AFB, UT. The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Group (SIG) supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center in the acquisition of the LGM-35A Sentinel (GBSD) ICBM weapon system. SIG delivers program management, systems engineering, and subject matter expertise to ensure on-time delivery of a safe, secure, and reliable strategic nuclear weapon system.

Responsibilities

SPA is looking for an exceptional and dedicated Systems Engineer (SE) for an exciting opportunity supporting the Air Force's Sentinel ICBM Program. This SE will directly support Sentinel Air Force Infrastructure & Deployment at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This position will work with a highly skilled team of engineers, analysts, and project managers by collecting, managing, and analyzing technical and programmatic information, updating government systems, and reporting status of projects internally to program management. Duties may include the following:

  • Performing system integration reviews as part of multi-disciplinary team to plan, design, and construct system architecture.
  • Developing and analyzing data to evaluate requirements traceability and assess interface documentation.
  • Determining root cause of system failures and recommending corrective actions.
  • Working alongside project management teams to monitor progress of projects.
  • Identifying issues in design and construction processes and recommending strategies for improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other applicable STEM program.

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (or higher).

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience with systems engineering.
  • Intermediate proficiency with UML or SysML.
  • Ability to execute validation/verification duties and correlate them with design requirements.
  • Ability to assist with Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMPs), track technical risk, and develop metrics against Key Performance Parameters (KPP).

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • ICBM Acquisitions experience.
  • Nuclear topic education.
  • Experience in facility design and construction.
