SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Air Force, Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defence Force.  Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients’ challenges. Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients’ success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.

 

SPA’s Air Force and Army Programs Group provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Junior Configuration Manager located at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH in support of the B-21 program. #MC

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing government and DoD-adopted industry CM/DM policies to accomplish the following against performance, functional and physical baselines over the weapon systems life cycle: Requirements management, Change management, Deficiency reporting, Production and delivery, and Data management.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Configuration Manager:

  • Assist managing program documentation, program records, program history, meeting minutes and action items, proposals, deviations, and waivers.
  • Assist preparing for and executing program technical reviews and functional and physical configuration audits.
  • Assist organizing and operating Configuration Control Boards and Business Management Boards or their equivalents.
  • Assist with configuration status accounting databases contractor data substantiation.
  • Assist preparing, reviewing, and obtaining approval of contract data requirement lists and requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers.
  • Support planning, execution, and participate in program design reviews, technical meetings, and working groups as applicable to provide configuration management perspectives and resolve any configuration management issues.
  • Support the analyses of the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment.
  • Participate on government and industry teams to resolve program configuration management issues.
  • Support development and coordination of program configuration and data management requirements.
  • Support program data management tasks to include creating and maintaining Engineering Data Management Plans and Engineering Data Activity Files as well as planning and executing Engineering Data Guidance Conferences and In-Process Reviews (IPRs) of engineering drawings.
  • Support development and review of configuration control and data management relevant requirements and products.
  • Support all aspects of the deficiency reporting, management, and closure across the weapon system lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years CM/DM experience in government or private industry, or a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience assisting journeyman or senior positions, and performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
  • Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
