The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

 

 

SPA's Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) has an immediate need for a Junior Business Program Analyst who will provide analytical support in business, financial, cost, or program management to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). Typical duties performed may include analysis, logistics, program management, capabilities-based assessments, operational views, risk assessment, cost, financial, or management analysis, or business processes and programs. This person will develop and/or review acquisition documentation, program reports, papers, and procedures as well as prepare business analytical reports for executives or clients

Responsibilities

The Junior Business Program Analyst will be responsible for applying comprehensive methods for analyzing business processes. They will be responsible for conducting capabilities-based assessments, analyses of alternatives, cost, and management analyses. They will assist in creating operational views, providing business process input to architecture development, and risk assessment. This person will help develop plans of action and timetables in order to meet established deadlines. They will assist in the development of executive briefings, detailed technical documentation, memos, and contract deliverables. 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience in Program Evaluation or budget analysis
  • Must have active Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI and DHS Suitability.

Desired

  • Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with DHS Joint Requirements Integration and Management System (JRIMS) Capability Analysis Reports (CAR, Mission Needs Statements (MNS), Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
  • Experience providing analytical support to the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Active TS/SCI

Salary transparency pay range for the Washington DC area: $70k-$100k
