The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

 

SPAs NATO Allied Command Transformation Group within JOID provides capability development, portfolio management, program management, quality management, cost estimation analysis, standardization, reporting, software solutions and information management, and capability management support. We also provide an improved capability requirements capture process, including the generation, documentation and tracing of user requirements, with appropriate technical scrutiny, over the entire lifecycle of the requirements from capability definition through capability realization and capability usage. 

 

We have a near-term need for a Social Media/Digital Production Specialist to provide onsite support at HQ SACT in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

The candidate will deliver the requisite digital products, video, and imagery to inform online audiences on HQ SACT’s corporate Social Media channels. Current channels are Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn with other channels, i.e. Instagram, are potential expansions. WIll engage at all levels within HQ SACT and coordinate with Public Affairs and Corporate Communications in order to understand and deliver digital communication products against SACT priorities, SACT vision, and intent, NATO Communications Strategy, and Command and Communications.  Create visually stimulating, informed, targeted video products that demonstrate NATO’s transformation and HQ SACT’s added value to that transformation path, matching the video product and length to the value of the message.  Assess reach and engagement on social media posts.  Understand and apply social media best practices for video development in order to maximize engagements. Analyze and evaluate performance and make evidence-based recommendations for subsequent efforts. Attend meetings in order to source appropriate content for the above mentioned channels and steward branch engagement on Command-wide initiatives. Plan content, create posts, and optimize content and technology. Create graphics that complement the messaging.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Digital Marketing, Animation, Moving Graphics, Film & Television Production, or similar
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver content creation and narrative structure by providing three (3) examples of their OWN video work (examples should be located on Google drive and a link provided within the proposal response)
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Audition, and more
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field developing visual support for communication campaigns
  • Working knowledge of media and social platforms
  • Working knowledge of graphic design
  • Experience with photo and video production
