The AUKUS Group, within SPA's Sea, Land, and Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA's AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Program Office and associated partner organizations.  Analysts and Engineers supporting AUKUS will continue SPA’s decades of support to the undersea force and assist in developing a trilateral submarine force for the future. This is a high-profile, major international program of significant importance to the future of the US Navy and its partners in an era of renewed strategic competition.#MC

Responsibilities

The Program Analyst will provide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on program support to undersea platform acquisition. Responsibilities will include strategic planning and coordination of program wide activities; coordination with external activities to include NAVSUP, DLA, PHNSY, CNRJ, TRANSCOM and internal AUKUS workstreams; supporting development of integrated budgets and POM submittals, developing and implementing office and organizational administrative policies and procedures; risk management; collaborating directly with the leadership to determine and prioritize objectives.

 

This position is located in Alexandria, VA with some opportunity to travel to client and industry stakeholder locations.  A hybrid schedule is possible, but you must have the ability to attend required meetings at the Washington Navy Yard.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5+ years professional experience
  • 5+ years experience with DoD/DHS
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, to communicate to decision makers
  • Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment

 Additional Qualifications Desired, but not required:

  • Experience with Team Submarine and NAVSEA
  • Experience/knowledge of Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes
  • Experience working with international partners
