Within SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division, Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 80 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, logistics, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 40 programs and projects in the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division’s Integrated Combat System department, Office of Naval Research, and the Navy’s Team SUBS office.

 

SPA’s IWS Group office is located at 20 M Street in Southeast DC, conveniently down the street from our clients at the Washington Navy Yard. #MC

 

Hybrid work is allowed and you must have the ability to work at least 3 days per week in the office on average. Travel up to 25% may be required. #MC

Responsibilities

SPA is seeking a dedicated mid-level Test & Evaluation (T&E) analyst with an active DoD Secret clearance to provide direct support to the AN/SPY-6 Program within the Navy's Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate's (PEO IWS 2.0). The candidate will support the AN/SPY-6 T&E Assistant Program Manager (APM), primarily providing technical and programmatic services focused on shipboard T&E activities. Responsibilities include leading the SPY-6 T&E planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for shipboard T&E events, including Combat System Ship Qualification Testing (CSSQT), Developmental Testing (DT) and Operational Testing (OT), leading and acting on behalf of the program's T&E APM, and ensuring the appropriate T&E processes and discipline is applied across the program when executing shipboard test events. For this critical work, we are looking for an experienced analyst to prepare and/or review technical and programmatic T&E documentation (e.g. T&E planning and strategies, T&E Master Plans, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, Trouble Reports, Requirements Traceability Matrixes, Technical Review Action Plans and Summary Reports Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables, T&E Risks, acquisition documents), develop formal T&E related correspondence, and work with the DoD, field activities, Integrated Product Teams, Technical Teams, and various vendors to develop, identify, locate, support, acquire, and manage shipboard test events. Must be energetic, thoughtful, product-oriented, dependable, flexible, open-minded individual with an eagerness to learn with demonstrated strong work ethic.

 

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range:  $115,000 – $145,000.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, particularly in the areas of shipboard T&E and Combat System Ship Qualification Testing (CSSQT)
  • Active DOD SECRET security clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or similar field
  • Experience with Navy’s radar and/or combat systems design and certification processes
  • DoD Program Office experience.
