The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
JOID assists the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in developing leading edge technologies to counter WMD in support of CCMDs and transitioning these technologies to military services and COCOMs. SPA provides expertise across the full range of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) WMD, Counter Improvised Threat and Countering Threat Network technologies to support understanding, detection, identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling, defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and civilian operations.
Systems Planning and Analysis has an immediate need for a Program Analyst to support Medical Integration and Warfighter Engagement onsite in Lorton, VA.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on projects by providing research and development (R&D) analysis to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency: Research and Development Chemical Biological Department with emphasis on support to the Medical Integration and Warfighter Engagement. Provide strategic planning support with planning, analysis, and information gathering, as well as by relaying, coordinating, and ensuring the execution of plans, especially in case of multiple simultaneous and rapidly changing complex operations or projects. Act as an integrator and advisor between Science and Technology Managers, DoD scientists and engineers, medical and CBRN specialists, industry, academia, and Warfighters. Attend relevant enterprise and technical meetings, reviews, conferences, and the like in order to stay informed of current and ongoing work, maintain an informed perspective of developments across the organization and enterprise, and assess the division’s role in them. Support collaboration with other Chemical Biological Divisions to guide and inform the identification and validation of technologies to ensure they are relevant to the Warfighter and the enterprise, accounting for and not duplicative of (to the best of their knowledge) other ongoing work within and external to the enterprise, and within the scope of the organization and enterprise missions. Inform design, operational coordination, and advisement of Warfighter engagement events. Facilitate and inform analysis of early technologies for operational considerations (form, fit, function, CONOPS/CONEMPS, etc.).
