The Strategic Technology Analysis Group (STAG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters.  Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF).  Come be a part of a high-speed low-drag organization providing unique and tailored solutions for our National Defense!

 

SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Offensive Cyber Capability & Operations Expert.

Responsibilities

Primary Duty Responsibilities

 

Provide Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO) expertise to a DoD Rapid Prototyping Organization. Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert exhibiting a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.  Will apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts.  Often acts independently to resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs.  Plans programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long range objectives.  Self-supervised; also supervises and provides managerial/leadership skills or provides corporate operational functions.

 

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide objective information and analysis supporting decision making on cyber-relevant Science and Technology (S&T) capability development and integration activities.
  • Ensure capabilities being developed meet operator requirements and prototyping programmatic schedule.
  • Assist with engineering review tasks including Developmental Test, Operational Test & Evaluation, and Operational Acceptance.
  • Prepare and deliver executive level briefings, reports, and summary papers.
  • Explain complex concepts in relatively simple language; summarize key decisions, and provide recommendations supported by analysis.
  • Assist in answering OSD coordination actions.
  • Provide coordinating support to other organizational efforts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Top Secret/SCI security clearance with SAP eligibility
  • BS in a STEM discipline with relevant cyber experience
  • 8+ years of technical or operational experience including at least 3 years in a team leadership role
  • At least 5 years’ experience with direct involvement in cyber operations efforts supporting the Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community
  • Familiarity with US Cyber Command and National Security Agency organizational structures, operational practices, and leadership priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for senior decision makers
  • Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with writing requirements for cyber capability development and with cyber operations planning
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to plan, work, and deliver both independently and as part of a diverse team focused on delivering critical cyber capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally interact with staff members and executive leadership via both verbal and written means
  • Demonstrated experience supporting IC or DoD Compartmented/Special Access Programs (CAPs/SAPs)

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Computer Network Operations Development Program (CNODP) graduate
