SPA's Naval Surface Warfare Analysis Group supports the Surface community and components of the United States Navy by providing program management, requirements management, force development, and readiness support in Washington DC and the Fleet concentration areas. We provide timely, objective, analytic assessments, strategic planning, and expert operational, technical, and acquisition support to the Maritime communities, and related agencies, allies, and partners. We are trusted agents of the senior and operational leadership in the Fleet, OPNAV, NAVSEA, and the Royal Canadian and Royal Australian Navies. We play key roles in providing insights and strategies to address current and emerging challenges to national security and have tremendous impact on our client’s success in solving their most important issues.

 

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Logistician II. #CJ #IN123

Responsibilities

As a Logistician II, you will be called upon to 1) Participate in ILSMTs, SPRs, LRRs, weekly Production and Test Status meetings for ships in availability and other modernization/maintenance planning conferences, and other meetings that may apply, 2) Validate all waterfront installations, waivers/deviations, and modifications in order to maintain configuration accuracy (Validation is primarily the physical confirmation of the installed equipment against configuration records), 3) Review and document ILS impacts to proposed ICPs and ECPs submitted by the Shipbuilder, and 4) Perform the functions of the Configuration Acquisition Management Activity (CAMA) for DDG 51 Class new construction ships. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years professional experience performing logistics or product support work
  • Integrated Logistics Support and/or Product Support experience in acquisitions with New Construction Ships managing Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) material procurements
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Active DoD SECRET security clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Additional years of professional experience performing logistics or product support work
  • Prior military experience in logistics and/or Supply working with Allowancing and/or material procurement.
