The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. The position is in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).

 

SPA has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant in Washington, DC (Maritime Plaza).

Responsibilities

This position requires clear and professional communication with group, division, and department leadership regarding the coordination and support of classified and unclassified visitors, meetings, and new security training initiatives. The role also involves managing visitor access, escorting guests as needed, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Additional responsibilities include processing forms, coordinating calendars, tracking and submitting regular deliverables, and organizing team events. The candidate will collaborate closely with Administrative Assistants and Security Personnel across the Division and Company to facilitate meeting logistics and security requirements. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be stationed at Reception at the SPA Maritime Plaza location, serving as the first point of contact for visiting clients and partners, ensuring SPA presents a professional, efficient, and welcoming presence.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range: $65,000-80,000/year.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Capable of obtaining an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in administrative or security support
  • Ability to coordinate and support large-scale, high impact meetings

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Obtained or pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense and Navy-specific organizations
  • Active Secret Clearance
