Integrated Warfare Systems Group comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, product support, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects in the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Navy’s Team Submarine Office.

 

SPA’s IWS Group office is located at 20 M Street in Southeast DC, conveniently down the street from our clients at the Washington Navy Yard. #MC

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Mid or Senior RF Engineer. #MC

Responsibilities

SPA is seeking a Mid or Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to provide programmatic and technical support to the Long Endurance Electronic Decoy (LEED) program within the Navy's Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0).  A hybrid work environment is acceptable; however, you must have the ability to travel to various DC area locations and NSWC Dahlgren regularly. Travel up to 20% of the time (2-3 times per month) is possible.

 

You will join a high performing Government and contractor team supporting one of the Navy’s newest and most anticipated programs. You will regularly be working with stakeholders from industry, the PEO, Warfare Centers, Navy Labs and University Affiliated Research Centers, and International Partners on complex issues facing the program. You can expect to provide RF engineering support to decoys and EW programs, and challenges in the design and implementation of EW receivers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development, make contributions to the development of technical Navy acquisition program documentation and briefings, participate in milestone acquisition events, advise on repair capabilities, and support tasking related to testing and evaluation of RF designs.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range:  $115,000 – $175,000.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-10 years of experience in RF design
  • Experience in development and maintenance of RF design specifications and requirements, particularly in EW and Decoy systems
  • Experience performing testing and evaluation of RF designs
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain throughout time of employment

Desired Qualification:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Navy Electronic Warfare and Decoys systems
