The Space and Intelligence Division provides professional services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. Timeline for intern selection: 

  • Applications can be submitted and will be reviewed until 20 February 2025
  • Interviews will be ongoing and conclude by 15 March 2025
  • Offers/decisions will be extended by 7 April 2025

Responsibilities

Learn and gain experience through providing analytic and management analysis support for important Navy acquisition activities. Duties will include exposure to and participation in policy and program research, light data analysis, and development of presentations for senior leadership, focusing on undersea platforms and strategic deterrent activities.

 

Directly support scientists and engineers perform characterization of space systems. This will include, detailed payload characterization through open source research, assist in assessment activities, and enhance assessment tools. Practical experience with optics or antennae and software experience such as Matlab, Labview, C++, and/or Visual Basic are a plus, but not requisite. This internship requires the ability to study and evaluate scientific publications for reliability and relevancy.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a healthy interest in optical, radio, and aerospace technologies.  Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work independently, seeking support from team members when required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research or other technical/programmatic field from an accredited university 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to synthesize data and communicate clearly via written and verbal means
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to communicate to decision makers

  • Strong customer service skills, with interest in pro-actively anticipating and addressing client needs
