The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs by providing expertise in systems engineering, acquisition programmatic support, financial management, and program execution to drive mission success.

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Program Analyst to work at Maritime Plaza in Washington, DC.

 

Washington D.C. Pay Transparency Range: $95,000 - 120,000.

Responsibilities

This role supports Navy SSP in the efficient management and execution of program schedules and acquisition processes for the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) Program. The Program Analyst will support the planning, development, maintenance, and updates to the comprehensive program schedule for the SLCM-N program. They will monitor, track, and integrate prime contractor and sub-system progress, identifying potential schedule risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies. The analyst will also plan, coordinate and support acquisition activities, including Department of Defense (DoD) Adaptive Acquisition Framework Milestones, Navy Gate reviews, test events and logistical assessments. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of program objectives and support the preparation of program documentation, including briefings, reports, and presentations. The analyst will participate in program reviews, audits, and assessments, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Active SECRET or higher DoD security clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience in program analysis, acquisition, and/or scheduling within a DoD environment.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and experience briefing senior/executive leadership.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with ACAT 1D programs and large-scale defense projects.
  • Experience on a OSD A&S, ASN RD&A, OPNAV, SECNAV or Joint Staff.
  • Experience with Nuclear Weapons Programs and Operations.
