The Space and Intelligence Division provides professional services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. The Strategic Technology Analysis Group, part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters.  Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF).  Come be a part of a high-speed low-drag organization providing unique and tailored solutions for our National Defense!

Responsibilities

SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Chief Architect who will oversee and plan enterprise-level evolution of the consolidated OPIR TAP Lab/BGIF/OBAC hardware/software technical baseline. Will ensure the OPIR TAP Lab/BGIF/OBAC hardware/software baseline is documented, leading identification of architecture level risks, issues and opportunities, convening and running working groups (standing or temporary) when necessary to conduct studies, trades and develop solutions, developing and recommending long-term (3+ years) investments to meet strategic direction. 

 

Additional key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead contract execution for SSC’s OPIR TAP Lab and BGIF with a focus on mission alignment, performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Act as a SETA lead, supporting technical assessments, software acquisition strategies, and end-to-end systems lifecycle management.
  • Drive systems integration efforts across multi-vendor, multi-classification environments.
  • Serve as the primary interface with senior Government leadership, providing strategic updates and briefings.
  • Own the role as contract SME, managing program execution, team performance, and deliverables.
  • Oversee advanced technology exploitation projects and facilitate rapid capability transitions.
  • Manage facility and lab operations and support proof-of-concept validation and operational deployment.
  • Ensure seamless, secure IT services across classification levels.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related technical discipline
  • 15+ years of experience in Acquisitions Program Management, Aerospace, Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years software development, integration and/or test into operational DoD or other national security facilities (industry and/or Government roles)
  • Strong background in SETA roles, government contracting, and acquisition support
  • Proven success in Systems Integration, aligning hardware, software, and mission requirements across domains
  • Reports to designated work location in Boulder, CO, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Salary pay range:  150k-185k
