The Strategic Technology Analysis Group (STAG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters.  Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF).  Come be a part of a high-speed low-drag organization providing unique and tailored solutions for our National Defense!

 

SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Cyber Access Analyst.

Responsibilities

As part of a DoD Cyber Capabilities Prototyping Team, a full time Cyber Access Analyst is required to support current and new FY26 Cyber Programs. Provides critical linkage between published intelligence, technology and production of fused products that drive prototyping requirements. Performs analysis and research for national security, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability.

 

Key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Research capabilities enabling connection, interaction, and entry to computer systems, networks, and digital resources.
  • Identify methods for authentication, authorization, and access control security measures.
  • Conduct capability assessment of physical, logical, and administrative access tools and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Support capability development for access control methods (Discretionary Access Control, Mandatory Access Control, Role-Based Access Control, Attribute-Based Access Control).
  • Prepare assessment of current threats and trends based on the research and analysis of intelligence data.
  • Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements.
  • Collect data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes.
  • Provide timely and accurate support to intelligence targeting support within the Department of Defense (DoD) to meet service-level needs and collection requirements.
  • Conduct multi-source intelligence research and create cables, HQ or field responses, network diagrams and asset validation products.
  • Experience with SIGINT tools, network development tools, and Open-Source Research to develop targeting plans and products supporting defined collection priorities and to identify measures of effectiveness.
  • Provide detailed input to asset validation panels to determine current and future viability of sources.
  • Coordinate with other operations support staff intra- and inter-community to align analytic requirements with available targeting capabilities.
  • Maintain awareness of collection operations, policy developments, and information priorities relevant to functional area.
  • Deconflict on multi-discipline collection problems and seek opportunities to leverage and integrate intelligence capabilities to support multi-discipline collection efforts.
  • Produce and brief products at meetings, workshops, or other community venues for the purposes of intelligence sharing and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS Security Clearance with SCI and SAP Eligibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant STEM discipline and 8+ years of Cyber Access Analysis experience; Master’s Degree in relevant STEM discipline and 4+ years of Cyber Access Analysis experience
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and security concepts
  • Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Ability to create and implement strategies to acquire and operationalize cyber programs
  • Working knowledge of cyber operations theory, employment, and tactics, techniques and procedures
  • Working knowledge to access intelligence community resources and analyze cyber intelligence products
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies
  • Experience conducting/producing intelligence products
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills
  • Demonstrated experience using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers
  • Demonstrated experience compiling and articulating complex technical knowledge into digestible talking points for senior leaders
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to plan, work, and deliver both independently and as part of a diverse team focused on delivering novel capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and manage developers/engineers across disciplines to implement customer and system requirements
  • Reports to designated work location in Ft. Meade, MD, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix, any other major operating systems
  • Experience in reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and exploit development
  • Familiarity with the latest exploits, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), vulnerability remediation and security trends in Cloud implementations
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP network protocols
  • Understanding of network security and popular attacks vectors
  • Any of the following certifications: GSE, OSCP, OSWP, GPEN, GWAPT, OSED, OSEE, GXPN, GRTP, CRTP, or GDAT
