The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. The position is in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Schedule Analyst to support the Shipboard Systems Branch of the Navy’s Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) Program within SSP. The selected candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining the Shipboard Systems branch Program Schedule through Working Groups engagement and cross-branch collaboration within the SLCM-N Program Office. This position will be based in Washington, D.C.

 

Washington D.C. Pay Transparency Range: $100,000 - 140,000.

Responsibilities

The Schedule Analyst will manage the Program Schedule for the SLCM-N Shipboard Branch, Interface with other Branch Schedulers, manage the Shipboard Branch “Plan of Actions & Milestones”, and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in the Shipboard Branch to understand Schedule updates, Parent-Child activities, and collect Schedule Inputs for the Shipboard Branch of the SLCM-N program. This includes tracking actions, taking meeting minutes, and leading Focus Team/Working Group sync meetings. The Schedule Analyst will provide pertinent technical information to Leadership in support of technical decisions to meet Program Objectives/Goals. Additional responsibilities will include synthesizing multiple sources of information to identify Risk within the SLCM-N Shipboard Program to enable decision makers to influence change.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance and ability to acquire and maintain DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
  • 4+ years of experience, including 2+ years of meaningful experience in project management support or program analysis with a experience in schedule development and assessment.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledgeable in M365 suite, specifically Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, diverse team environment.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience and professional proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel, to build and visualize schedules and other critical program artifacts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field.
  • Experienced in Integrated Master Schedule development.
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance.
  • Experience supporting ACAT 1D programs or other large-scale defense projects.
  • Familiar with DoD Adaptive Acquisition Framework DODI 5000.02.
