The Space and Intelligence (S&I) Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge computer-based solutions, advanced technologies and progressive capabilities to meet those needs.

 

The S&I Division comprises the Intelligence Programs Group (IPG), the Space Systems Group (SSG), and the Strategic Technology Analysis Group (STAG), which collectively provide outstanding support to help their customers achieve our nation’s most critical objectives and goals designed to protect the safety and livelihoods of all U.S. Citizens, military forces at home and abroad.

 

S&I Division’s SSG has a near-term need for a number of highly qualified Mid-Level (Journeyman) Program/Project Managers to support our U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDA&CP) and Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) Support Services contract (Hemisphere) in the Huntsville, AL area.

Responsibilities

Mid-Level Program Managers assist Program Office leadership performing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis. Will work with program and project managers to support the design, development, and instantiation of space systems and advanced system capabilities. Successful candidates for this important opportunity will help enable advanced capabilities and proactive protective understanding of how space-based assets and programs operate, interact, and serve our highest priority national defense.

 

Key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Space control mission planning, electronic support, signal processing, and communications, and CONOPS development.
  • Collect and aggregate obligations and expenditures data from CDRLs.
  • Use and track within the Comprehensive Cost and Requirements System (CCaRS).
  • Coordinate and manage exercises and operations training.
  • Understand space threat environment, joint domain targeting, planning, and Command and Control (C2) activities.
  • Develop and manage technical requirements.
  • Electronic attack technologies and system design implementation.
  • Develop models and to assess technical requirements.
  • Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance.
  • Define program baselines and execute programs in compliance with baseline requirements.
  • Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a program management-related discipline, e.g., Management, Systems Engineering, or Program/Project Management with the following levels of equivalency:
    • 8 years of relevant program/project experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in DoD and Air Force intelligence capabilities, processes, and procedures
  • Experience in space systems engineering; space systems design, development, integration and test; and transition to operations
  • Understand the relationships between Combatant Command (COCOM) and Tactical Control (TACON) authorities
  • Experience with the Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC), USSTRATCOM, and their mission partners and associated relationships
  • Experience with Special Technical Operations (STO), preferably in a joint environment with geographically-dispersed units
  • Expertise generating organizational policy and ensuring compliance with existing higher-level policy within the USSF and DoD
  • Reports to designated work location in Huntsville, AL, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Desired:

  • Active or prior SAP access
  • Active USSF/SSC/SZ or BC SAP access
  • Current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph or willingness to sit for one 
  • Specific direct experience performing program/project management tasks in the U.S. Air Force and/or the U.S. Space Force space system acquisition and/or operational environments 
  • Specific direct knowledge and experience with program/project management-related activity associated with Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), Space Control, Space System Communications, satellite design, launch operations and space system operations 
  • Program management certification from PMI, DAU, or APDP
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications, especially MS Project and MS SharePoint, Task Management Tool (TMT), and the Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaRS) 
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques, DOORS, MATLAB, Jira, Confluence, and/or other similar program/project management tools
