  • Overview

    Within the Strategic Operations and Surety Division (SOSD), the Systems Financial Group (SFG) provides a full range of business, acquisition and financial management services in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPB&E) process - from Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development to contract closeout.  SFG provides budget planning and execution support, supporting the translation of technical requirements into POM and budget submissions. We develop solid narrative justification of requirements and detailed bases of estimates, and develop and prepare scalable financial reports and toolsets that provide real time assessments of the financial health of various programs to provide integrated recommendations on trade space.

    Responsibilities

    Seeking an experienced financial analyst to lead efforts supporting Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).

    • Serve as one of the primary liaisons between the government team and contractor team.
    • Provide financial, budget and program management support to NUWCDIVNPT.
    • Ensure employees complete required training requirements.
    • Serve as budget / finance manager and primary POC for execution and delivery of all budget / financial reports and records / documents.
    • Track budget and financial details by project.
    • Prepare budget forecasts for reimbursable and direct cite funds.
    • Manage the preparation of meeting management support, scheduling, action item tracking and minutes.
    • Manage the preparation of various briefings, graphics, reports and other documents as requested.
    • Oversee analysis of program budgets and financial execution.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 
    • 5 years’ of post-degree work experience leading small to medium teams in accounting and/or finance areas. 
    • Accuracy and attention to detail; good communications skills; effective at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). 
    • Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
    • Candidate must be able to be trained and briefed into NATO Secret to attend meetings/participate in discussions and handle paperwork that may involve support, funding, integrated logistics and other topics from NATO allies.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in DoD environment.
    • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
