The Cyber, Acquisition, Intelligence Group (CAIG) supports the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s (OUSD(R&E’s) Damage Assessment Management Office. The position requires daily collaboration with the Military Department DAMO offices and OUSD(R&E’s) Joint Acquisition Protection and Exploitation Cell (JAPEC). The Military Operations Analyst position will be located at the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) in Linthicum, MD but may be required to attend meetings in the National Capital Region (e.g., Mark Center, Pentagon) and occasionally Quantico and/or Chantilly, VA. #IN123
Develop and coordinate procedures for assessing the compromised DoD information; conduct the initial assessments of affected DoD information; create and maintain cyber incident timelines; conduct Integrated Product Teams and coordinate with applicable DoD, Military Departments and Agency case-specific subject matter experts, as well as with intelligence and acquisition personnel, as needed; and aggregate the analyses for final OSD damage assessment reports to senior members of OUSD(R&E). Support short-notice taskers focused on protection of critical DoD programs and technologies. Additionally, the candidate will assist with DAMO metrics and conduct periodic statistical analysis of compromised data, assist with developing best analytic practices, and identify gaps between tools and capabilities.
