  • Overview

    The successful candidate will serve as the System Certification Specialists supporting the JS Security Control Assessor (SCA) in the performance of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities required by the DoD RMF process (SCA).


    The successful candidate will track and report status of JS IS through to completion of the NIST RMF providing guidance and support to the key stakeholders.  The applicant will utilize DISA eMASS, as the DoD automated tool of choice for information system assessment and authorization under the RMF, on a daily basis to track system status, including the generation of A&A, Assess Only, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) packages.  The applicant will be thoroughly familiar with all assigned systems, status of security control compliance, vulnerability scan results, POA&M status, and provide risk-based recommendations.  Finally, the applicant will coordinate with the Joint Staff Security Office (JSSO) to ensure compliance with federal, DoD, and JS Privacy requirements for assigned JS IS.



    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or Cybersecurity.
    • Active Top Secret clearance.
    • Cybersecurity workforce certification(s) at the IAM-II/IAT-III level.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of task related experience; NIST and Risk Management Framework experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CISSP and Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certifications.
