  • Overview

    The Joint Space and Strategic Capabilities group provides program management and engineering services to a variety of government agencies and industry partners.  Our customers include the USAF Nuclear Weapons Center, US Strategic Command, DARPA, and Air Force Space Command. We specialize in acquisition support, modeling, simulation, and analysis, and systems engineering.

    Responsibilities

    • Supporting NC3 certification and compliance inspections.
    • Supporting staff reviews of NC3 system inspection requirements and compliance with higher headquarters directives on nuclear surety, safety and certification.
    • Developing or revising inspection and compliance procedures, schedules, and requirements.
    • Collaborating with AF Nuclear Weapons Center, DOE, NNSA, US Navy, AF Global Strike Command, JCS, and other DoD entities on nuclear inspection and compliance matters.
    • Writing reports, presenting briefings, coordinating and planning conferences and interagency working groups related to NC3 compliance and inspection matters, including after-action follow-up.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • At least 10 years of experience in the following:
      • NC2/NC3 operation capabilities and procedures.
      • Experience in the operations platforms, communications, and modes of operations, to include current efforts in developing survivable.
      • Endurable NC2/NC3 capabilities.
    • At least 5 years of experience in the following:
      • Critical command and control requirements and operational concepts utilizing national, DoD, and CJCS guidance to support future NC2 and NC3 operational requirements.
      • Working with US Government Interagency functions and processes or products such as reports, meeting minutes, and speech transcripts in order to create requirements to support future capability.
    • At least 3 years of experience participating in various key NC2 forums (e.g. includes the NLCC Issues Working Group, NC3 Issues Working Group, NLCC Capabilities Integration Team, NLCC Executive Management Board, NLCC Senior Steering Group, Deputy’s Management Action Group (DMAG).
      • Council on National Leadership Command, Control, and Communications System (CONLC3S), and others).
      • Experience working with non-NC2 senior level (O-6 above) forums is allowed as an alternative (e.g. Issue working groups, Stakeholder working groups, Cyber, Functional Control Boards, etc.
    • Active DoD Security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
