  • Overview

    The Joint and Marine Corps Analysis Group (JMC) provides timely and objective assessments to the joint warfare community. These assessments integrate the technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business aspects across the various elements of defense department policy planning, capability development, warfare analysis and systems acquisition processes. The CMC CAG and OPNAV N95 support program’s mission is to support the identification, development, and demonstration of forward looking concepts encompassing multi-domain technologies to satisfy Multi-Service and Combatant Commands’ (COCOMs) priorities.




    Analyzes and develops concepts of operations (CONOPS) of a military or governmental system to obtain a quantitative and/or qualitative, rational basis for decision making. Utilizes military warfare, military operations analysis, political military situations and military organization knowledge in determining solutions. May draw from military experience, but is a subject matter expert that provides integral support in the problem definition, requirements determination, conceptualization, and quality assurance of modeling and simulation-based decision support system applications. Possesses the ability to develop and provide operationally relevant scenarios to be used in modeling and simulation and can communicate the modeling methodology and results into useable output products.



    • Requires bachelor’s degree.
    • 20+ years of relevant military experience or government service.
    • Knowledgeable of the National Defense Strategy and service-level operating concepts for the Army, Marine Corps or Navy.
    • Knowledgeable of military plans for the European and Indo-Pacific regions.
    • Expert military planner with experience developing concepts of operations—ideally at the joint or service level for expeditionary, amphibious, advanced base or ground operations.
    • Experience supporting a joint or service level staff as an action officer or above.
    • Participated in wargames—ideally has experience facilitating as well.
    • Familiar with amphibious shipping/alternative platforms, C3, unmanned systems and ground vehicle programs.
    • Experience leading programs or projects; responsible for people, task and financial management.
    • Expert briefer with experience facilitating large-body engagements or workshops.
    • Desire to develop business for land/ground analysis.
    • Active DoD Secret security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree or above.
    • DoD Top Secret security clearance.
