  • Overview

    The Joint and Marine Corps Analysis Group (JMC) provides timely and objective assessments to the joint warfare community. These assessments integrate the technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business aspects across the various elements of defense department policy planning, capability development, warfare analysis and systems acquisition processes. The CMC CAG and OPNAV N95 support program’s mission is to support the identification, development, and demonstration of forward looking concepts encompassing multi-domain technologies to satisfy Multi-Service and Combatant Commands’ (COCOMs) priorities.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Assists clients in aligning their activities with established national, departmental or agency priorities while also working with clients to develop policies and priorities that are executable based on a risk-based approach to achieving strategic goals. Assesses impact of policy and strategy changes for client activities, organization and resource allocation. Develops and employs analytic tools for evaluating degree to which client’s programs serve higher-level priorities. Provides analytic and subject matter expertise to facilitate client establishment of long-term objectives. Assists clients in program implementation and operation.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • 20+ years of relevant military experience or government service.
    • Knowledgeable of the National Defense Strategy and service-level policies for the Army, Marine Corps or Navy (e.g., 38th Commandant’s Planning Guidance).
    • Knowledgeable of military policies for the European and Indo-Pacific regions.
    • Experience supporting a congressional, joint or service level staff as a legislative assistant, action officer or above.
    • Expert at assessing impact (e.g., risks) of policy changes on an organization’s priorities and resource allocation.
    • Expert writer—ideally with editorial experience.
    • Familiar with congressional testimonies and service-level oversight committees.
    • Desire to be a technical subject matter expert in the group for all things policy related.
    • DoD Secret clearance security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree or above.
    • DoD Top Secret security clearance.
