    The Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) focus is to provide engineering, technical and programmatic support to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors (PEO IWS 2.0) Directorate. Efforts include overarching program management, test and evaluation, systems engineering, operations analysis, systems integration, international, cyber security, IT network and programmatic support for over 25 PEO IWS 2.0 advanced radar, phased array radar, electronic warfare, electro-optic, advanced off-board electronic warfare/decoy and directed energy programs.

     

    SPA has an immediate need for a Cyber Systems Engineer to work in our downtown Washington, D.C. office located at 20 M Street, SE.

    Responsibilities

    SPA is seeking a dedicated Cyber Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s Advanced Radars Acquisition Programs.  For this critical work, we are looking for a proactive leader to assist with the design, development, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments. 

     

    This position will provide direct support to the lead Systems Engineer and Program Protection Lead for Advanced Radars (Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) and Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar (EASR)) programs to support the PEO IWS 2.0, Above Water Sensors. No specific radar experience is needed but radar experience could be helpful.

     

    You will be asked to assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life-cycle.

    Qualifications

    • BA or BS degree
    • 3-5 years of experience providing information assurance, engineering, or operational support to the DoD, including supporting information operations, cyber operations, system administration, and systems security
    • Competence in evaluating cyber compliance with DOD regulations and an understanding of the DoD Risk Management Framework
    • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification
    • Active DoD SECRET security clearance

    Desired

    • MS Degree in an Engineering/Cyber Security related discipline
    • Experience working in an acquisition program office environment, with documentation, protocols, formats, and deadlines
    • Knowledgeable in Technical Information Systems Engineering, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), C++, Coverity, network security architectures, Radars, Aegis Combat System, Ship Self Defense System, and/or DoD acquisition
