    SPA has an immediate or near term need for a Senior Technical Adviser directly advising the assistant director for hypersonics under the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Research and Engineering, Deputy Director for Modernization. The candidate will have technical experience, with recognized senior operations and research credentials in hypersonic flight test mission operations, a working knowledge of DOD hypersonic programs, and respective kinetic warhead technologies.

    Responsibilities

    In this position the candidate provides the OSD client timely and objective assessments of hypersonics science, technology, research, design, and acquisition programs as they are being executed by the Services and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Additionally the individual must be knowledgeable of Joint Warfighter requirements of hypersonic capabilities.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in a STEM field from an accredited university.
    • 15+ years’ experience in DOD test mission operations.
    • 5+ years’ experience with/in DOD hypersonic programs.
    • OSD staff experience.
    • Active Top Secret DoD security clearance, with current SCI eligibility.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • PhD in a STEM field.
    • Currently hold a TS/SCI clearance.
