    The Undersea Systems and Integration Group comprises analysts and engineers that provide technical program management and systems engineering support to Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) and its field activities as well as to the Naval Special Warfare Program Office within Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).

     

    SPA has a need for a college-level summer intern to assist with the support that the group provides to its customers. 

    Responsibilities

    Support the Navy's Strategic Systems Programs Office (SSP) but could also involve interaction with prime contractors as well as other Navy program offices and organizations. Assist a team that provides support to a U.S. Navy weapon system program office charged with planning, assessment, management, and execution for all stages of the weapon system life cycle including system design and development, resource and requirements planning, production, and sustainment. Participate in team discussions and assist in gathering information and conducting analysis. Responsibilities also include program coordination and document/report development as well as meeting facilitation and briefing preparations.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field, preferably in Engineering or a degree related to Technology Development or Project Management.
    • Must be proficient with MS Office and able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must obtain and maintain a security clearance.

     

    Desired Qualifications: 

    • Education or experience relating to the US Navy, submarines, or missile systems is a plus.
    • Pursuing Engineering or technical degree (STEM)
    • Rising Junior or Senior
