  • Overview

    Systems Planning and Analysis (SPA) is looking for a Costpoint Contract Setup Specialist to become a part of our growing financial team. Expertise in the Costpoint accounting system Project module and a strong understanding of government contracts will be key to success in this role.


    Reporting directly to the Director of Business Management & Finance, this position is responsible for the set-up and maintenance of SPA contracts in our Costpoint accounting system.

    Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

    • Ensure the repository of all contract set up and modification documentation is up to date
    • Initiate contract kick off briefing meetings
    • Read contract documents and ensure accurate initial set up in Costpoint for program/billing execution optimization
    • Implement new and update existing contract setups/modifications within the Projects Module to include employee workforce mappings
    • Support multiple program tasks simultaneously while prioritizing effort along strict time-lines to ensure service levels are met
    • Adhere to and improve established contract set-up guidelines and checklists
    • Review other team members set-ups in Costpoint for accuracy
    • Work closely with Contract Administrators, Financial team and Program Managers to solve set-up problems


    • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred)
    • Understanding of US Government contract terms and conditions as outlined under FAR, CAS, GAAP, and 2 CFR 200 regulations required
    • 4+ years of Costpoint experience required
    • Customer service experience preferred
    • Previous program coordination or contracts experience preferred
