The Deputy Operations Director will assist NAVAIR Warfare Analysis and Integration Department in the development of Strategies, Plans, and Programs within the NAVAIR missile protfolio providing top level advice, guidance and analysis for the system and system-of-systems capabilities for the Naval Missile Programs.  This position will work directly with NAVAIR leadership, other contractors, and will coordinate with the Pentegon on issues relating to the Navy Missile Portfolio. #IN123#CJ


The succesful candidate will provide strategic level guidance, planning and program analysis for topics spanning national level strategy and policy, warfare plans and capabilities, joint warfighting doctrine, defense acquisitions, program life cycle support, program management, and others topics as needed for the full set of missile programs within NAVAIR 4.10 cognizance.  This will include current and future programs and require an indepth understanding of current military capabilities, warfighting strategies, weapon employment, weapon system engineering, as well as a thorough knowledge of working with stakeholders within the Pentagon to meet the strategic objectives established by NAVAIR 4.10.  The candidate will be responsible for gathering information, facilitating client engagements, preparing reports, presentations and whitepapers, and presenting results to senior leadership within client organizations.


  • Bachelors in a Science or Engineering Discipline and a Master’s Degree in an Engineering Field
  • 10 years of experience within programs related to National Security and weapons development, acquisition, operation, policy and warfighting guidance.
  • Experience supporting the Joint Chiefs of Staff, J5 Directorate for Strategy, Plans and Policy or experience supporting DoD acquisition and policy related organizations within the Pentagon
  • Experience supporting the Nuclear Weapons Council (NWC) or the Nuclear Weaspons Council Standing and Safety Committee (NWCSSC)
  • Experience supporting the development of national level strategy and policy documents like the National Defense Strategy or the Nuclear Posture Review
  • Experience performing weapon system design activities within DoD or DOE
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams composed of Engineers, Policy and Program experts and briefing the highest levels of leadership within the DoD
  • Active DoD TS Security Clearance with eligibility for SCI
