The Simulation, Operational Analysis & Wargaming Group (SOWG) provides senior Government decision makers with timely and objective assessments evaluating military operations across the spectrum of conflict for a range of Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The group’s primary focus is providing operational/technical analysis and program management support at the program office level, including client site support at the Pentagon and Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO). Lead and support the development of software tools and analytic capabilities to meet mission needs. Responsibilities will include working with knowledge management tools, database applications, and display/visualization systems. Design and architect solutions and work within a team to implement agile design sprints in an operational environment. Capable of exploring alternate software design approaches (usually in design sprints) to determine the best solution within time, resource, and cost constraints. Ensure that projects are well documented while supporting the entire software lifecycle.
