The SPA Joint Space and Strategic Capabilities (JSSC) Group provides support to space and strategic missile clients across the U.S. The JSSC group has a need for a senior special security officer in Colorado Springs, CO. The work location will be at Schriever AFB and Peterson AFB, supporting a US Space Command customer. This position is expected to be funded by 1 May 2020. The individual wil act as the Facility Security Officer supporting the design and build of the National Space Defense Center (NSDC) and other secure facilities. We are seeking a candidate with experience in all aspects of the security disciplines including personnel, physical, operations, industrial, communications, information, and information technology security.
Coordinate with US Space Force and US Space Command leadership to ensure key stakeholders are informed on critical security concerns and challenges through the design and build of key USSPACOM facilities.
Oversee and manage the contract team hired to design, construction and accreditation of new USSPACOM SCIFs.
Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Cognizant Security Agency (CSA) requirements, and corporate security policies, procedures and directives.
Coordinate and monitor CSA security requirements to ensure compliance with government and company policies and procedures.
Act as the chief assistant to the FSO regarding not only implementation of security policy and procedures but also in assisting with the management of other security team members' daily functions.
Oversee day-to-day Industrial security facility operations and administering industrial security programs in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), applicable laws, regulations, and DoD contractual requirements.
Manage the processing of security clearance paperwork, including collection and review of relevant documents and information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
