The Joint Space and Strategic Capabilities Group provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Joint, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) clients. Our work includes development of approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessment and development of cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needs.
This opportunity is for a NC3 Requirements SME who will support the US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Nuclear Command, Control & Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC). The location is at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The right candidate will support the NC3 requirements and management of critical NC2 and NC3 functions, including survivable and mobile C2 functions. USSTRATCOM is the single operational commander for NC3 and has been assigned increased responsibilities for operations, requirements, systems engineering and integration.
The ideal candidate is highly experienced in NC2/NC3 operations, with expertise in Survivable Mobile Command & Control (SMCC) capabilities and Strategic Communications. #IN123 #CJ
The individual will be responsible for identifying and recommending priorities to modernize the nation’s NC2 and NC3 architectures. Duties will include developing supporting documentation and advocacy papers to be used in the formal DoD requirements processes within the Joint Staff, Services, and Agencies. The individual will be required to represent NC3 Enterprise issues in working groups, Councils, boards and other forums. Some travel may be required.
Operational Knowledge of NC2, NC3, and NLCC. Technical competence in these mission areas in any combination of technical support in any domain including terrestrial, aerial, SATCOM, and undersea.
An active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Special Access Required (SAR) classified material accesses is required.
