The Simulation, Operational Analysis & Wargaming Group (SOWG) provides senior Government decision makers with timely and objective assessments evaluating military operations across the spectrum of conflict for a range of Department of Defense (DoD) customers.  The group’s primary focus is providing operational/technical analysis and program management support at the program office level, including client site support at the Pentagon and Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO). Our team of experienced military analysts and operations research analysts integrate warfare expertise with advanced analytic methods - to deliver assessments and strategies to top level decision makers. #IN123 #CJ#


Develop program plans, schedule, milestones, and monitor technical progress against performance objectives and budget and assist in creating pathways for these technologies to enter into warfighter capability sets. Partner with Service or Defense Agency Program Offices to leverage existing capabilities in new and innovative ways and to provide expertise in relevant technical disciplines.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other science and technology related subjects
  • 15+ years of recent and relevant programmatic and technical support experience
  • Proficient in program management, Systems Engineering
  • Pentagon or Service Headquarter staff experience
  • Shipboard weapons and systems expertise/experience
  • Weapons development expertise
  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and/or other equivalent program management tools
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be independently motivated maintaining a strong commitment to system transition
  • Active DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance


  • Project Management Professional Certification and/or DAWIA Program Manager Level II, with an ability to plan, develop, and refine scope of work, work breakdown structures, and cost estimates
  • Military / Naval Officer experience
  • Understanding and experience with Defense Acquisition, Programming and Budget, and Congressional correspondence
  • Technical background or leaning, with experience and understanding of Defense Program Management Offices and Agencies
  • Scheduler experience, and experience utilizing Microsoft Project
  • Requirements Officer experience
  • Weaponeering experience, with a general knowledge of DoD weapons, systems, and platforms
