The Joint Space and Strategic Capabilities Group provides engineering services and analytic support to the Space Force, Air Force, Joint, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) clients. Our work includes developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority national defense needs, and assessment and development of cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needs.


SPA is hiring a Master Scheduler to support the United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) Program Management Office (PMO).  We are looking for someone with experience in Microsoft Project and other tools to develop an Integrated Master Schedule, Work Breakdown Structure, and critical path schedules.




Perform as the primary scheduler for multiple projects to ensure traceability of milestones and Critical Path Schedules. Develop Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and other project documentation as needed. Maintain, add, and track team actions using project management methodologies and standard collaboration tools, including SharePoint. Manage the deliverables review process for the team by managing and tracking information on SharePoint and tracking due dates, comments, dispositions, and developing process improvement strategies. Conduct ad-hoc analysis related to EHRM and interoperability topics, including developing a system transition plan.Please enter the job duties.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another STEM field with 5+ years of experience in a professional working environment or 8+ years of experience in a professional work environment may be substituted for the degree.
  • Experience in coordinating with developers, testers, site staff, installation staff, and others to ensure that schedules and expectations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Experience developing an IMS and WBS, plus coordinating, scheduling, and identifying all long-, mid-, and near-term deployment activities.
  • Experience with identifying scheduling and coordination issues across multiple project stakeholders and participants.
  • An active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with USSPACECOM PMO’s mission partners (DoD, IC, External Partners).
  • Knowledge of MILCON contracting and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to facilitate working groups, data calls, to work in a matrix-ed environment of contractor, vendor, and government resources and with external organizations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate highly technical subject matter to broad audiences, including executive-level audiences.
  • Experience with drafting status reports and defining and gathering requirements.
